It never fails, you toss out the remains of that giant chocolate Easter bunny every year, yet it keeps popping up in the basket, year after year. We all know the bunny ears taste the best, and the rest of that rabbit often goes uneaten. The sheer size of the chocolate bunny can be daunting enough to spark an eating challenge: “If you eat the whole bunny, the meal is free.” OK, maybe not that much, but the truth is, our kids simply don’t need any more candy. Fortunately, Easter falls right before summer, so it’s the perfect season to give our kids all those fun gifts we know they’ll use over the summer anyway. Shorts, sandals, swimsuits, beach gear and goggles are all perfect items to bestow upon your little chickadees. If the basket still feels empty, here are 25 more ideas that don’t involve sugar!
