Andaz Napa – Our Favorite Wine Country Boutique Hotel

You had us at soaking tub…in front of the fireplace…in our room.*

Behold the Andaz Napa, located in the heart of downtown Napa, California. Even though we’d scoured online reviews, nothing prepared us for the pure luxury of this hotel. There was one point where our small group contemplated skipping a wine tasting so we could veg out in our rooms – they were that comfortable. And awesome.

Major perks included: glass of wine at check-in (yes, please), complimentary minibar (what?!), wireless internet, in-room coffee, nightly chocolate delivery, and newspaper service. It really felt like nice hotels used to feel like, before they started nickel and dime-ing guests.  The hotel lobby is the type of spot that you want to find a reason to hang out in. Maybe it’s the huge wine country map on the wall, or the small specialty wine bar, or possibly the fresh juice samplings every morning.

It also felt like the staff were falling over themselves trying to be as helpful as possible; from suggesting wine tours to driving routes, and even helping us plan out the difficult task of getting back to SFO airport for an early flight.

To sum up: if you’d like to visit Napa Valley and want to stay in a gorgeous hotel where you won’t need to think about a single thing, the Andaz Napa is your spot. We’ve been working on planning our next visit since the moment we left the hotel lobby.

*Soaking tubs for two are in Andaz Large Loft and Andaz Large Loft Terrace rooms, which we HIGHLY recommend. Particularly if you happen to be leaving your adorable kiddos at home.

I totally agree with your post! The entire place was the highlight of our trip in June! Oh..don’t forget that the open fire place at Mercantile Terrace after dinner is a lovely place to have a glass of wine!
