When 4th grader Addie Rodriguez was performing for her local Texas high school and the other cheerleaders’ fathers joined them on the field, she had an unexpected hero come to her rescue. While the other cheerleaders were lifted onto their father’s shoulders, Addie was left standing as her father was currently serving his country training at an Air Force base in California.
Addie’s mother, Alexis Perry-Rodriguez, didn’t know what to do. “It was really heartbreaking to see your daughter standing out there being the only one without their father, knowing why he’s away. It’s not just an absentee parent. He’s serving our country.” That’s when Matthew Garcia, a senior at the high school came to the rescue. Watch the video below to see how one high school senior made incredible impact on a 9- year-old girl.
Just amazing.
