Once again the cold weather is upon us. This is always the most difficult time of year for me. It is warm and then it is cold, and the changing temperatures mean a full closet with two seasons of outfits and crazy kids from being cooped up. This is definitely a great time of year to have a back-up plan in place and indoor play places are the perfect solution. Here are five of my favorites:
Jungle Quest: Love the idea of indoor play areas but looking for something different? How about a zipline, a safari bridge, and rock climbing? Jungle Quest is a fun and creative indoor play place for kids ages five to twelve. They even offer day camps for kids!
- $12 for the first hour, $14 for 1 ½ hours and $3/additional half hour. Please make reservations!
- Birthday Parties Offered
- Located at 8000 S. Lincoln St. Suite 10 Littleton, Colorado 80122
- 303-738-9844
Jumpoline: There is something irresistible about a trampoline…and Jumpoline offers bouncing fun that includes dodgeball, basketball, and crazy fun long trampolines. This is the perfect place to get the wiggles out for you as well! All ages are welcome to play! There is even a Kidz Kingdom so kids under 7 can play without worrying about getting trampled!
- Prices vary per weekend hours as well as age. Weekends are $6 for the first hour with $3 for each additional hour for Kidz Kingdom and $12 for the first hour with $6 for each additional hour for Megajump.
- Birthday Parties Offered
- Located at 15380 E. Hampden Ave., Aurora, CO 80013

Monkey Bizness: With two locations, Monkey Bizness is the perfect place to let your little monkey’s giggle and play! There are four locations; Parker, Westminster, Centennial and Colorado Spring. The locations include inflatable slides and fun structures as well as an art room so your little one can release their creativity! The location in Parker is for the smaller crew and has a fantastic craft room where the kids can paint, draw, and get creative. Monkey Bizness also includes toddler areas for the younger siblings to have some fun! The Parker location is Lil’ Monkey Bizness for kids 6 and younger.
- Prices range per location, the average price is $8-$10 for older kids and $5 for toddlers.
- Birthday Parties Offered
- Find the Monkey Bizness closest to you here!
Children’s Museum: Kids love to learn through play, and the Children’s Museum of Denver takes that to the top! With two levels full of fun, there is definitely an activity any child will love. With a real fire truck, a bubble room, grocery store, vet clinic, train room, build your own workshop, and more my kids only problem is usually when it is time to leave. I will admit I miss the days of playing with them in the toddler/baby area downstairs! My daughter’s favorite place is the art room, and my son can’t get enough of building his own stuff. If it is a warmer day, there is a great park right next door to start or finish the day!
- $7 for seniors and 1 yr olds, $9 for ages 2-59. Babies under 1 are free, and the first Tuesday night of each month is a FREE DAY!
- Birthday Parties Offered
- 2121 Children’s Museum Drive Denver, CO 80211
- 303-433-7444
WOW: The World of Wonder Children’s Museum is a wonderful place where creativity and play come together in education! Art, games, books, science…there is a little something for everyone. The current featured exhibit is “Build it WOW”, and my kids loved taking random objects and figuring out what they could make with it! Each day in the art room has a different theme, so your child can dig further into clay, stamps, paint, and stencils!
- $9 for ages 1-11. Babies under 1 are free!
- Birthday Parties Offered
- 110 N. Harrison Ave Lafayette, CO 80026
- 303-604-2424
