Kids Can Create Their Own Puppets For Free At IKEA – Centennial

By Whitney Blakeslee

Denver parents, we want to tell you about this FREE family event on July 1st!

Summer is in full swing, and my family is already getting out to explore new places, meet new people, and to try new activities to fill these longer days. And air conditioning helps. We are definitely seeking out air conditioning as often as possible. If you’re looking for a FREE family event that checks all those boxes, head over to IKEA in Centennial for their Summer Series. The first Sunday of each month this summer, they are hosting a free family event! On July 1st, we will be making our own, take-home, moving puppets. IKEA will supply their MALA paper, markers, and scissors to use, as well as SOMMAR straws. My kids are excited to put their creativity to use and come up with some fun characters!

In addition to the take-home puppets, IKEA will be giving away some FREEBIES to The Mother List followers! All you need to do is respond to the Facebook event here and when you arrive at IKEA, show a staff member the RSVP. You will receive a Creativity gift pack from the MALA line designed to bring out your child’s inner Picasso. This pack features a MALA paper roll and one pack of MALA colored pencils. The kids are sure to leave happy!

When: Sunday, July 1st
Time: 12-4 pm
Where: In the restaurant at IKEA Centennial
9800 East IKEA Way, Centennial, CO 80112
RSVP: Free IKEA First Sunday Event on Facebook
