109-year-old, Alice Herz Sommer, was the world’s oldest holocaust survivor and oldest pianist. She shared her views on how to live a long happy life in The Lady in Number 6. She mentions the importance of an optimistic outlook along with laughter and lots of music. This inspirational story of perseverance and endurance shows how she survived a Nazi concentration camp with music.
Alice passed away February 23rd, 2014.

I’m with Alice. Music is a dream. It is beauty, life, and love. It stands the test of time. I wouldn’t want to ever be without it. It lifts my spirit like nothing.
