The Riverhouse Hotel: A Bend Oregon Mountain Getaway

Dubbed the “outdoor playground of the West” Bend is equally known for its gorgeous views as it is for having more microbreweries per capita than any city in Oregon. If you are looking to getaway to Bend, OR and enjoy family time near the Deschutes River then The Riverhouse Hotel is where you want to be.
The Riverhouse Hotel has over 200 guest rooms and suites backing right up to the Deschutes River. You can literally walk out your hotel room and be fishing or kayaking on the river within seconds! Even though the hotel is large, it almost feels like a bed and breakfast with so much attention given to each guest, a complimentary delicious breakfast each morning and awesome hotel policies like all pets are welcome at no charge! In addition to a variety of rooms to choose from, The Riverhouse Hotel has indoor/outdoor pools, spas, saunas, an exercise room and tennis courts on site.
After an exciting (and likely exhausting) day exploring the beautiful scenery around Bend, be sure to grab a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant Crossings Restaurant & Pub where we had the best steaks of our lives!
The Riverhouse also offers Tesla Electric Charging Stations for guests with Tesla cars. Bend is such an environmentally friendly city in general and super bike-friendly. Our favorite bike rental business is Let it Ride Electric Bikes where you can either rent a bike and enjoy exploring the city on your own for the day or take a guided tour with a local who knows all of the city’s best spots.A fun excursion for kids of all ages is the High Desert Museum which is just a few minutes South of Bend. The museum features historical exhibits as well as live animals and outdoor play areas. Our kids loved the river otters and porcupines but their absolute favorite thing was a giant rope spider web that they could have spent all day playing on.
