Chuck E. Cheese, Columbine, and the Aurora Theater were in my hometown. Maybe Virginia Tech or Sandy Hook was in yours. Possibly the most recent Charleston Church was closer to home for you. It often feels that nowhere is “safe” anymore. Schools practice lockdown procedures just as routinely as tornado or earthquake drills. It has become a scary world in which to live. There are hundreds of opinions, thousands of suggestions, and millions of people who want answers. But there is one request that underlies all the different voices — a demand for a plan.
Demand A Plan is a movement that is using the faces and support of big celebrities to ask the questions and state the demands that so many want. The video is sobering and honest, and it succinctly says what everyone is feeling. It isn’t my side versus your side. It doesn’t have to include a winner and a loser. Just a united demand for a plan. A demand that something be done, that things change — that these shootings become just as vital of an issue as any political agenda.
Watch the video, check out the site, and join the movement to DEMAND A PLAN.
